Adult Sunday School meets Sundays at 9:15am in the Wesley Room
Upcoming Adult Sunday School ScheduleSue Puma Vance leads the final session of Final Words from the Cross by Adam Hamilton this Sunday, May 11.

The next study, Embracing A Life of Meaning by Kathleen Norris led by Cherry Tom starts May 18.

Best-selling author Kathleen Norris provides a unique viewpoint of “what matters most,” including:

  • Belief Matters: Why does belief matter? To what do we give our hearts? What is the core message of what we believe―creeds or commitment? To what extent is to believe also “to belove”?
  • The Bible Matters: The Bible is our collective story. How is that story reflected in our daily lives? What is it about the Bible that always seems to address our present moment?
  • Community Matters: In community, individualism and imperfection meet grace and acceptance. What is our part in the Body of Christ?
  • Place Matters: In what ways is faith set within the physical space of home, church, land and people?

We Matter: What it means to remain in God’s image and to counter our selfishness by embracing the world and its needs?

Serving Survey Launch is June 1 after worship

Serving Survey Launch – June 1 after Worship

Maybe… you’ve been thinking about how to become more engaged with the ministries of Morristown UMC.

Maybe… you’ve been wondering if there’s a way you could use your skills to support the work of the church and community.

Maybe… you’ve got an hour or two a week you could share with the church, but you’re not sure what you could offer, or what Morristown UMC needs.

Good News! We have a way to match your skills and willingness to help with ways to serve God, our church, & community!

We invite you to take part of our 1st SERVING SURVEY.

  • Answer a few few questions about your interests, gifts, talents, and strengths…
  • Receive a Top 10 list of areas that might suit your serving style!
  • Surveys will be available on laptops in Fellowship Hall or via a QR code on your phone.
  • The Serving Survey IS a data gathering tool.
  • The Serving Survey IS NOT a volunteer sign up tool.
  • Our goal is to get 80% of our members to fill out the Survey on the June 1st launch date!
