That’s the subject of EarthAware’s next documentary screening, “Fantastic Fungi: The Magic Beneath Us”  Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 11:45 am in Fellowship Hall. Prepare to be amazed!

Got (Sharp!) Scissors?

Our Children’s Spiritual Formation program recently acquired a very cool set of flannel pieces to help tell the stories of our faith. We need some help cutting out the shapes, which have been printed on many colors of felt. It requires sharp, fabric-only scissors, which falls into the category of “if you know, you know.” If you have such scissors and would be willing to cut some shapes, please reach out to Regina in the office (send an email, or leave a note for her), and she’ll arrange to get some sheets to you.

United Women in Faith Book Club

United Women in Faith is MUMC’s women’s group that seeks to connect and nurture women through Christian spiritual formation, leadership development, creative fellowship and education so that they can inspire, influence and impact local and global communities. One way we meet that goal is through monthly Book Club. The books we read are ones that help us connect with each other, our faith and to work for justice in the world. In January, we are reading Anne Rice’s “Memnoch, the Devil”. We will gather to discuss it on January 24, 2023 at Kristin’s house.
