Couples at all stages and ages are invited to participate in the Couple’s Connection program kicking off Saturday Night January 19, 2019 at 5 p.m. The group will study The Art of Marriage: Getting to the Heart of God’s Design. The small-group Bible study will help participants blend their personalities and their life’s circumstances to create a divinely-inspired work-of-art marriage. Every marriage is unique, expressed by colorful personalities of each spouse and textured by the circumstances at play in their lives. Blending these to make marriage work is a divinely inspired art form challenging to master, but definitely worth the effort. Get ready to make a masterpiece of your marriage through this video-driven study!
Session Topics and dates: January 19: Love Happens February 9: Love Fades March 2: Love Dances April 6: Love Interrupted May 4: Love Sizzles and June 1: Love Always
Attendance at every session is not required. Each event is self-contained and independently beneficial. Evening format calls for adults to meet from 5 – 6:30 p.m. after which couples are encouraged to go on a “date” 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Creative childcare is provided from 4:45 – 8:00 p.m.
The program promises to help couples:
— discover the primary purpose of marriage
— learn to walk by the power of the Holy Spirit in marriage
— learn to manage healthy conflict resolution
— understand the purpose of sex in marriage
— learn how they can leave a godly legacy
— understand their roles of husbands and wives in marriage
The following rules are recommended for your “Date”: #1 No talk of work or kids #2 Any conversation that gets heated should be tabled for another time #3 Have fun and enjoy each other!
